Tarsus Technologies distributes the world’s leading IT hardware brands to the Southern African reseller channel. Tarsus, a member of the MB Technologies group, was established in 1985 and with more than twenty years of operation, it is the largest and longest-established IT distributor in South Africa. Tarsus meets the channel’s needs for credit funding, stock availability and efficient logistics to ensure that the reseller is able to deliver the best possible service, support and overall solutions to its end user customer base at the lowest possible cost.
Royal Bafokeng Holdings exercised its option to buy out minority stakeholders and become MB Technologies’ primary shareholder making it one of the largest black owned technology groups in the South African market. Tarsus Technologies is recognised as a Level 3 contributor with a BBBEE procurement recognition level of 110%. The Tarsus name has become synonymous with flexibility, service, product knowledge, support, competitive pricing and a strong focus on its channel, while ensuring it is a good corporate citizen and plays a meaningful role in society.
Being a distributor, the success of the company is dependent on the success of its reseller channel. Tarsus believes in the development of, and reinvestment in its resellers. This includes not only the provision of excellent service, products, pricing, credit terms, and turnaround times, but also embracing the development of its resellers' people, business, systems and skills.
Tarsus’ head office is situated in Johannesburg with branches in Cape Town, KwaZulu-Natal, Port Elizabeth and East London. Tarsus has also extended its footprint into Africa with branches in Namibia and Botswana. A team of 11 people service the other territories in Southern Africa from the Johannesburg office.
Tarsus has a comprehensive and dedicated team of product and business managers for all major products in its portfolio. This team is available to assist our sales teams and their customers with proposals, tenders, special bids, demos and product information, as well as to advise end users on the most sound technology choices.
