THE TARSUS TEAM

Tarsus has a comprehensive and dedicated team of product and business managers for all major products in its portfolio. This team is available to assist our sales teams and their customers with proposals, tenders, special bids, demos and product information, as well as to advise end users on the most sound technology choices.

Tarsus splits its customer management operations into a number of separate divisions and has a sales team focused solely on the public sector:

    Tarsus offers flexible and fair credit terms to the majority of its resellers. In addition, Channel Capital, our new financial services offering, backed by several of South Africa’s largest financial institutions, is uniquely positioned to provide financial products and services to the Southern African reseller community.

    PRE- AND POST-SALES SUPPORT

    Tarsus is able to provide the technical expertise which assists partners in selecting and compiling appropriate solutions that match customers’ needs, to aid customers with post-sales support, technical support and warranties.

    Tarsus offers its resellers assistance with custom-configuration of hardware and software images, asset tagging and rollouts of large computer fleets.

    TRAINING & CERTIFICATION

    The Channel Business College, founded in 2004, offers a series of mornings-only practical business courses all designed to develop the resellers’ business skills and increase profitability.

    THE TARSUS FOUNDATION

    Over the course of the past financial year, Tarsus has donated over R1m (in cash and computer systems) to charities and non-profit organisations in South Africa.

    Tarsus also has a learnership program and welcomes its partners to play an active role in both funding internships and providing on-the-job training for the learners selected to participate in the programme.
 

LOGISTICS, STAGING AND STOCKHOLDING

Tarsus plays a vital role in ensuring that its resellers have quick access, keen pricing and strong support for its products, while also providing comprehensive logistics and credit risk management services so that both resellers and vendors take advantage of economies of scale to reduce their individual costs of warehousing, configuration, delivery and credit management.

  • Stocking and Forecasting - Tarsus works with its resellers and their customers to purchase all good that are jointly forecast for supply and commits to carrying the responsibility for selling all "stocking" goods not purchased by the customer. This stock can be ring-fenced and held in separate virtual warehouses on Tarsus' premises and is not available for resale to other resellers.
  • Configuration Centre - Tarsus has the ability to custom-configure hardware and software products to ISO 9002 requirements in its configuration centre before shipping.
  • Asset Management - Tarsus’ assembly and configuration centre provides facilities for bar-coding, labelling and asset tagging of stock items to the reseller and customer's specifications.
  • Delivery - Tarsus offers a value-add delivery service for resellers who wish to have their orders delivered to their own premises or directly to the end user.
  • Bill, Hold and Deployment - With its adaptability, knowledge, skills and successful track record, Tarsus Technologies is recognised as the South African specialist in large, individualised IT rollouts. Tarsus ensures that end-to-end solutions are provided to the customer and that the necessary tools exist to enable its resellers to meet their commitments.
  • THE TARSUS CHANNEL MAGAZINE

    Tarsus Technologies produces a reseller focused magazine called the Tarsus Channel aimed at informing its channel partners of the latest products in the Tarsus portfolio, keeping them abreast of developments in the local IT industry and providing them with valuable insight into the most prolific trends shaping the market.
